{#1} Anthony Watts is mad at Christian climatologist Dr. Hayhoe

I got side tracked on the way to writing this post. . . better late then never.

At the end of the post I have added a few videos of Dr. Katherine Hayhoe where she explains her work.

Some climate scientists we know sure are notoriously thin skinned, as an illustration of this, today I got blocked by Dr. Katherine Hayhoe on Twitter after making my one and only Twitter comment to her. See below.Here’s the comment she made yesterday and my reply:

Dr. Hayhoe's response: "I don't debate unless there's equal representation (49 pro-climate change scientist equals vs. 1 against."

Then Watts gleefully adds a few comments to underscore the "awfulness" of Dr. Hayhoe's stance.

D.Sorensen: "49 v. 1 sounds like argument from authority. Helicobacter pylori, anyone?
{Sorensen used that "scientific" technic of guild by association}
{Furthermore, it seems that Sorensen seems to hope that some previously invisible culprit will prove to be our Global Warming villain, conveniently ignoring greenhouse gases established physical properties.}

L.Oliver get's two digs in: "seems like it would only be a 'debate' if standard talking points are removed"
{Oliver does not acknowledge, nor seem to appreciate the distinction between a political debate where winning is goal one - and a scientific debate, where learning is the object and goal of the exercise.}

L.Oliver: (con't) and hard evidence submitted… otherwise it's just an argument.
{This is exactly Dr. Hayhoe's issue!
Watts doesn't want to discuss facts, he plays with distractions and emotions.

Mind you, Anthony's previous post proudly shared another one of Lord Monckton's rants. Lord Monckton the 'manmade global warming denialist's favorite political performer - The man has been caught in dozens of blatant lies and misrepresentations of other's science. Why do such details not matter to the likes of Watts and Oliver?

Oh I remember why: 'winning the debate' is their one and only concern.}

Anthony WUWT: "That's really condescendingly smug Ms. Hayhoe."
{No it's a polite refusal to 'debate' with folks who have no interest in either fidelity to the truth or in a learning process.}

Anthony Watts adds: "I wrote what a lot of people were thinking about that comment of hers, and today when I refreshed the browser window I left open to see if she responded, I’m rewarded with this: "You have been blocked from following this account at the request of the user."

{Well Anthony how else should a person handle a rude stalker with ill intent!}

To fortify Anthony's indignation he shares a parrot's indignation at having his attempts at harassment blocked by the victim:

Anthony finishes up with a snotty snip: "I guess turning the other cheek doesn’t fit for her."

Anthony Watts' pettiness and demonizing is reprehensible.
And, just like a typical bully, this uncouth goal oriented skeptic Mr. WUWT, has the nerve to cry when serious scientists don't have any interest in talking to him.
